Changing the Odds Luncheon
Wednesday, September 16
11:30 am – 1:30 pm
Sheraton Ballroom, 1400 6th Avenue, Seattle
We believe all children deserve an equal opportunity to succeed in life, and Washington students need our help: 1 in 4 students doesn’t graduate from high school in four years, and we rank in the bottom half of all states with our graduation rate. Those who do graduate aren’t always prepared for college, and outcomes for students of color are especially dire.
We’re working to Change the Odds for all children, from the classroom to the Capitol. Join us on Wednesday, September 16 for a celebration of Stand for Children’s successes for parents, educators, and students throughout Washington State. This year, we are pleased to welcome Joel Klein, former Chancellor of the New York City Department of Education, as our keynote speaker.
Join Stand and help us raise approximately $100,000 to support our critical work in changing education policy for the better, empowering parents and education advocates, and realizing changes for all children and their families.
