2013 Legislation

At Stand for Children, we're fighting for these priorities in 2013:

  • Re-establish the funding slashed during the last legislative session and prioritize funding for our most disadvantaged students. We seek to do this by increasing weights for the growing population of English language learners, funding enrollment for all districts and increasing the basic allotment for all students.
  • Ensure equitable funding for all students including facility funding for students enrolled in charter schools.

You can join in the work by pledging your name to support better funding for schools across our state. You can also email Governor Perry to tell him to reinstate the $5.4 billion that was previously cut from education funding.
