Carter Lawrence, a native of Franklin, Tennessee, has extensive experience in both the private and public sectors. Prior to joining Stand for Children, Carter worked on a Tennessee State House election, Governor Haslam's gubernatorial campaign, and in the Haslam Administration as the Assistant to the Governor for Boards and Commissions. Additionally, Carter worked in the business development departments of Aspire Health and Alticor, Inc.
Carter received his bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College, a law degree from the University Tennessee College of Law and a MBA from the Haslam College of Business. Carter is an avid reader and also enjoys hiking, skiing and exploring. Carter and his wife Amy welcomed their son last December.
