Christian Lemos grew up in California in a large and loving immigrant family that instilled in him a passion for education and community service. Before graduating with honors from the University of Dallas with a B.A. in History, Christian worked as a teacher with at-risk youth in New York City with the South Bronx Educational Foundation. Prior to joining Stand, Christian worked in Regulatory Compliance for the world's leading Bitcoin wallet and exchange service provider.
As a Regulatory Compliance and Finance Specialist, Christian ensures the timelines and accuracy of all registrations and filings in the jurisdictions in which Stand for Children operates. Christian works closely with state and national development staff on required gift reports for PAC filings, and with the finance team to complete all state and local tax filings. Christian enjoys running cross country, illustration, practicing Aikido, and guest lecturing on economics, technology, and social justice at Portland area high schools.
