Sara Parr Gill
Sara first developed a passion for the importance of equal education opportunities for all students while working as a part-time teaching assistant in a school for students with special needs in her hometown of Columbia, MD from 2005-2010.
After graduating from Villanova University in Pennsylvania in 2010, Sara moved to Boston to work for Match Education, first as a member of the Match Corps and then as a recruiter for the same program. It was at Match that Sara saw first-hand the challenges in our public education system, especially in urban schools. In 2012, Sara earned a graduate certificate in Fundraising Management from Boston University, and brings those skills to the table as the Development Manager at Stand – writing grant reports and proposals, coordinating development operations, and supporting the Massachusetts development team.
When not consumed by Excel and Word docs, Sara can be found running around Jamaica Pond, visiting family and friends along the East Coast, or cooking Pinterest-inspired dinners with her husband.
