Anthony Dennis

Baton Rouge Director

A native of St. Mary Parish, Louisiana, Anthony obtained his B.A. in History and Political Science from Louisiana State University.  After undergrad, Anthony returned to St. Mary Parish to teach Social Studies and was ignited with a passion to give every student a quality education. During this time, he also began his career as a community organizer with Obama for America, ultimately leaving the classroom for the rewarding work of building grassroots teams.  After successfully completing the Masters in Public Policy program at New England College and participating in New Leaders Council Fellowship in Washington D.C.; Anthony returned to Louisiana to be a leader in political and issues based campaigns in the Capitol Region.

As Baton Rouge City Director, Anthony uses his diverse background in education and community organizing to lead the Baton Rouge team to increase access to high-quality education for all children in the Capitol Area. Anthony and his wife, Tasha have a daughter in early elementary and a son who is a toddler.
