Jeani Frickey Saito
The daughter of a high school art teacher and librarian, Jeani grew up in Lakewood and attended Jefferson County Public Schools. After more than 15 years as a successful contract lobbyist, Jeani left a diverse client base to lead the Colorado affiliate and focus her full-time attention to issues impacting education. Jeani first developed a passion for education policy and advocacy when she served as one of the lead lobbyists on Colorado’s landmark teacher evaluation legislation and the READ Act.
Prior to starting her own public affairs firm, Jeani traveled to every corner of the state working as legislative staff with the Colorado Rural Electric Association and as Director of State Affairs for the Colorado Farm Bureau.
Despite having worked on many high-profile policy issues, Jeani counts her work on education initiatives as some of her greatest accomplishments. She continues to be inspired by the work of her sister, an amazing special education teacher.
Jeani earned bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and History at Metropolitan State University of Denver and attended the Institute for Political Journalism at Georgetown University.
Jeani lives in Arvada with her husband and three school-age children.
