What We Do

Stand for Children Arizona believes all children deserve access to an excellent education that prepares them for college and careers in the 21st century. To get there, we work to help develop effective, vibrant, high-performing schools that are great places to teach and that have stable funding and strong leadership.

How We Do It

Working together with parents, communities and our advocacy partners, we build effective local and statewide networks that deliver policy victories at the state level and follow through to ensure new policies are effectively implemented in the classrooms. Stand for Children is made up of committed staff and volunteers, parents, teachers, and community members, who work together to get the job done.

After having a presence in Arizona for just a few years, Stand for Children has garnered respect from key educational leaders in the state. We have been part of several education victories in Arizona and we are consistently invited to the table to provide our expertise on policy issues. We are trusted as a voice for children, and a resource for parents who want to have an active role in their child’s education.
